BHU School Entrance Test 2017 :-
The BHU is the acronym of Banaras Hindu university which will conduct the School Entrance Test for interested girls and Boys in order to select the eligible candidates for Class 6th ,Class 9th and Class 11th in Central Hindu Boys and Girls school separately. As usual this year also the BHU has Published notification for application of SET School Entrance test for class6th , class 9th and Class 11th for current assessment year 2017 – 2018.
The interested students who want appear for SET of BHU should first apply for application form through Online after having a glance on Eligibility Details about Required Education, Age Criteria, Payment of application fee, exam pattern, syllabus and release of admit cards for written test.

Eligibility for Class VI
Candidates aged in between 10 years to 12 years as on September 30, 2016 and cleared class V exam from a school are permitted to apply.
Eligibility for Class IX
Candidates aged in between 13 years to 15 years as on September 30, 2016 and cleared class VIII exam from a school are permitted to apply.
Eligibility for Class XI
Maximum age of candidates should be 18 years as on September 30, 2016. Looking into the educational qualification, they should be class X pass from a recognized Board/University with necessary percentage.
Eligibility For External Students Coming Through SET
For Arts stream, candidates should be class X pass.
For commerce stream, candidates should have more than 40% marks or its equivalent grade.
For Science stream, candidates should have more than 50% marks or equivalent grade.
*Candidates (excluding SC/ST) need to acquire minimum 33% in the School Entrance Test to become eligible for admission. This rule is also application for BHU employees and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates. Criteria for SC/ST category will be according to the norms of KVS.

Admit Card :-
BHU SET 2017 admit card will be e-mailed to the students to their respective email address provided by them during registration process. Students will also receive a SMS alert through their registered phone number. Therefore, I advise aspirants to give their correct and working email address and phone number. Alternatively, candidates are also permitted to download their admit card from BHU entrance exam portal. Candidates who are unable to download their admit card till a week before commencement of the test, they immediately need to contact the School office on the phone number (0542-2398710).

The question contains Multiple choice questions (MCQs)
In the format of OMR
To correct the answer in circle with ballpoint pen
the candidates will be provided all details about the filing of form in the circle format.
On the basis of the marks obtained in the School Entrance Test, Merit List will be drawn for admission in each Class and the candidates will be given a seat in the concerned Class strictly on the basis of the merit.
In case of a tie the Banaras Hindu University Guidelines will be followed.
For admission in Classes IX and XI, the candidates will have to come for Counselling and they will be offered seats in the Class / Subject combination of their choice strictly according to their merit ranking so long as the seats remain available.
The candidates for admission in Class XI will have to exercise their choice combination immediately on the day of Counselling and the choice once exercised will be final and no change will be allowed at a later date.
RESULT AND MERIT LIST :-
The candidates can get the exam results 2017 along with merit lists of the candidates after the completion of the examination through the website of the department. The department will upload the results declaration statement after one month from the examination at the webpage as stated hereunder.
COUNSELING SCHEDULE :-
The department will be display the SET counseling schedule at the quickest possible promptly through the website of the BHU Portal. They will no separate letter will be sent to call students for counseling. The merit lists shall be displayed in the schools. The candidates are advised to see their position in the merit lists and ensure their appearance in the counseling with relevant documents
