Astronautic Engineering is a division of aerospace engineering. Astronautic is a word that discovered by the combination of two words "Astro + Nautike". Astro is related to the "Stars, Celestial objects and outer space " ." Nautike" is related to the "navigation of the air". Hence by the name, it is clear that astronautic engineering completely deals with the developing, designing and testing the spacecraft, aircraft, machine and vehicle that operate out of the earth's atmosphere.

If you have a keen interest in Aircraft, Spacecraft, Aviation and flight technology then Astronautical engineering is the perfect course for you. Those students who choose Astronautical Engineering they have to study Manufacturing of flight-capable machines or the techniques of operating aircraft. They work with the theory, technology, and practice of flight within the Earth's atmosphere. Astronautical Engineer must have the ability for conducting basic and applied research in order to determine whether or not certain materials and equipment adapt well to aircraft design and manufacture.

Astronautical engineers are responsible for using their technical skills and expert scientific knowledge to design, develop, research, test, adjust and upgrade sophisticated and complex engineering solutions for vehicles and components that operate outside of the earth’s atmosphere, including space shuttles, space launch vehicles, satellites, rockets, space capsules and planetary probes.

Details About Astronautical Engineering Courses

The Astronautical engineering contains four year's bachelor degree course. Aeronautical Engineering consists of various no. of Bachelor, Master And Doctor degree courses.Throughout the bachelor degree course, students attend classroom and laboratory. After completing bachelor degree course student proceed for two year's master degree course. During master degree course students focus on Spacecraft technology. For further education students are also able to do P.H.D. level doctoral degree course.

Bachelor Degree Course In Astronautical Engineering

During the bachelor degree course, students have to attend various lectures on their classroom as well as practical in the laboratory. Thus Students get the knowledge about various principles of science that can be applied to designing and manufacturing vehicles and equipment operate outside the earth's atmosphere. In the laboratory, students get knowledge of using various astronautical structures, instruments, materials, fluid mechanics, propulsion systems, combustion etc.Out of four years of bachelor degree course in Astronautical Engineering, in the two years of beginning students get deep knowledge of introductory mathematics and science and in the duration of further two degrees, students get the experience of specific systems related to astronautical vehicles.

Master Degree Course In Astronautical Engineering

After completing the bachelor course in Astronautical engineering students proceed for a master course in Astronautical engineering. Under master course, students get deep knowledge about a particular aspect of space technology, such as space system design, spacecraft propulsion, or spacecraft dynamics.During the complete master degree course whose duration is two years, students spend their time in the particular area as discussed above in order to get the solid experience of spacecraft mechanics, environments, and design.

Doctoral Degree Course In Astronautical Engineering

After completion of Bachelor as well as Master degree course students can further extend the course at P.H.D. level, which is a doctoral degree program. After completing doctoral degree students choose their career as a teacher at the university level or perform various research and experiments in the field of astronautics.Under the doctoral degree course, students have to choose a particular subject and perform various research and experiments related to that particular subject.Under doctoral degree course, students get the experience of flight mechanics, propulsion, dynamics, and control or structural mechanics.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for the Aerospace Engineering Course student must have completed their 10+2 Board Examinations from any of the recognised board with these you must also give an entrance examination of Engineering which offered by various institutions in order to become Eligible.

Since, Admission is done on the basis of performance in both the examinations that is 10+2 Board as well as your Entrance Examinations, So, You must have to apply for the Entrance exams.

It does not matter that which Entrance examinations you are giving but you just have to give any examinations whether it is of State Level or as that of National Level.Note that the value of National Level Entrance examinations is much higher as that of state-level Exams. So, You must try to prefer the National Level Examinations beside this you can also give the state level Examinations with it.

Skill Requirement

Reading Comprehension:-

Students must have a sharp mind for Understanding written sentences or paragraphs in work related documents and also have abilities to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Science:-

Students must have ideas related to apply various scientific rules and methods to solve the problems.

 Active Listening:-

Students have deep listening power and must have the ability to provide their full concentration on what they listened by people, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Active Learning:-

Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Science and Technology:-

The engineers of aerospace engineering must have the knowledge of Science and technology and also must have the experience for the practical application science and technology. This experience of practical application of various principles of science, and techniques of engineering is very necessary in order to the create effective design and production of various goods and services.

 Mathematical Intelligence:-

The engineers must have great intelligence on mathematics. Hence they must have a tight grip on some popular parts of mathematics such as of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and other advanced topics. Students must also have the ability to apply these in order to analysis, design, and troubleshooting in their work.

Physics Intelligence:-

As the aerospace engineers deal with spacecraft and aircraft, these are fly in the sky so for manufacturing, these engineers must have must have great knowledge of various principles and laws of physics. Engineers must also have knowledge of relations between various laws.Engineers must have the ability to apply various principals and laws of physics for analysis, design, and troubleshooting in their work. In order to make sure the space crafts and aircraft manufactured by them work properly in sky and space.  Engineers must have deep knowledge of following topics of physics:-  fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics, and mechanical, electrical, atomic and subatomic structures and processes.

Computers And Electronics:-

As during manufacture, the air crafts and space crafts engineers have to perform various computer programs for controlling them, these programs related circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software. So Engineers must have following knowledge.

English Language:-

While performing the various computer programs the engineers have to write the code of various programs in the English language. SO engineers must have knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
